Individuals who require an accessible parking hangtag should contact the Disability Resource Center and present the proper documentation in support of their request. The Disability Resource Center will then email our department with the details of the arrangement once the parking is approved. Customers must be registered before receiving temporary disability parking.
If an employee or student possesses a state-issued hangtag, access will automatically be given to accessible parking with a standard fee for the permit. Lot availability may vary due to lot capacity.
Accessible Parking is available in nearly all Rice University parking areas. Parking spaces are marked and are reserved for vehicles holding either a state or Rice issued accessible hangtag or license plate. Accessible Parking spots are situated nearby shuttle stops for easy transportation. All Rice shuttles are equipped to carry passengers in vehicles, and provide this service either through a ramp or a lift. Please refer to our campus map for specific Accessible Parking locations.
